Switch between high or low kingpin load at the push of a button

One of the big advantages of the 100T Range neck is the ability to work with variable kingpin loads. How does this work and what is its advantage?

two separate suspension groups

In the 100T Range, the trailer has two separate suspension groups (Figure 1). The neck and dolly are one suspension group, and the axle set is one suspension group (here, the number of axles at the front or the rear does not matter). (Swipe -->)

weight of the load

This means that when there is a load on the trailer, part of the total weight of the load (100%) goes to the front suspension group (X%) and part to the rear suspension group (Y%) (Figure 2).

40% / 60% distribution

In the standard situation, about 40% of the total load weight on the front suspension group (X%) will go to the kingpin and 60% to the axles (Figure 3) (this depends on the compensation cylinder used and can therefore vary). (For mobile --> Swipe)

60% / 40% distribution

By switching, however, one can also choose to reverse this, so that 60% goes to the kingpin and 40% to the axes (Figure 4).
