Transport of wind turbine segments
We have included various solutions in our range for the transport of tower sections. When developing these trailers, we have not lost sight of the multi-functionality, which makes it easy to obtain a return load for this trailer. We distinguish the tower in three sections: base, middle and top section.
Base section (lower section of the tower)
For the smaller diameters and shorter lengths in the basic section, a 3-axle or 4-axle low loader can be sufficient. The large diameters and lengths are transported with adapter parts or low loader dolly combinations.

Midsection
The middle section of the tower is often transported on a specially designed semi low loader. By extending the trailer, a pit is created where the tower can be transported lower. In addition, these tower sections can also be transported on our tower cup trailer or our low loader dolly combinations.

TOP SECTION
Because the top section often has a smaller diameter and is lighter, this section can often be transported on many more trailers. Multi-functionality is of decisive importance here.
These tower sections are often transported on our triple wing carriers. This trailer is suitable for this type of tower sections (but also for a divided middle section) and for blades. This way you save on the fleet and you are multifunctional.

Nacelle
For the nacelle, a completely different trailer is necessary to bring it to the correct location. Due to the weight of the nacelle, a 6-axle semi low-loader is soon necessary. Because the size of the nacelle is also large, transporting it as low as possible is often also essential. For the nacelle we have included a number of very suitable trailers in our range. An SL2 trailer can be a great solution to reduce transport height. If it is expected that the nacelle must be loaded / unloaded independently, a PL2 trailer is often the right solution.

Hub
The dimensions and weights of the hub vary considerably. There is a small and heavy hub, but also a large and light hub. For this reason, we have included a number of trailers especially for the hub in our range.

We also distinguish a number of variants for the blades
With wind turbine blades, the choice of a semi-trailer type is made based on the length of the blade; the longer the blade, the longer the trailer must be. So to achieve all expectations, we even build trailers that can extend four times. These trailers can achieve a total length of 69 meters.
