We are proud to announce that the Belgian Defense has once again chosen us. In cooperation with DAF, we are supplying the trailers for 13 additional Protected Evacuation Vehicles (PEV combinations). This order is an extension of the earlier contract for nine PEV combinations that we were awarded by the Belgian Defense in 2022. It highlights the trust the Belgian army places in our quality and confirms the value of our partnership.
The Protected Evacuation Vehicle (PEV) is designed to recover immobilised vehicles used by the Belgian army in challenging conditions where safety is of utmost importance. This requires high efficiency and strong off-road capabilities, ensuring that the vehicles can operate on unpaved roads as well.
For this project, Broshuis will deliver 13 triple-axle, extendable low loaders. These are equipped with our proven PL2 pendle axles and a hydraulically detachable STANAG gooseneck. The result is a combination that offers maximum flexibility and manoeuvrability, even under the toughest conditions.
The choice for Broshuis is based on our proven track record. Between 2022 and 2024, our prototypes underwent extensive testing in extreme conditions: from off-road routes to fording tests and heavy field trials. During these trials, the trailers convincingly demonstrated their reliability and robustness, which led to the award of the first contract. You can read more about these tests in this article.
With this follow-up order, we further strengthen our position within Defense and once again contribute to the operational readiness and safety of the Belgian army. We look forward to delivering these vehicles in the near future.
