Recently, SVgroup expanded its fleet with a 2-axle Broshuis low loader equipped with independent wheel suspension (SL2) for transporting large agricultural machines and slurry systems. The trailer is used to efficiently and safely deliver machines such as forage wagons, silage wagons, slurry tanks and salt spreaders to customers.
Quality, ease of use and quick service close to home
The choice for Broshuis was deliberate: a Dutch-made product renowned for its quality, ease of use and long lifespan. “Together with a colleague, I was present at the delivery in Kampen. After a cup of coffee, it was finally time to hook up our new Broshuis low loader,” says Dennis ter Stal, truck driver at SVgroup. The short distance to Broshuis in Kampen was another important factor, ensuring quick service when necessary. “There was a small issue with the grease system, but the service department resolved it perfect,” Dennis adds.
In the six weeks since the SL2 low loader went into operation, it has already completed numerous transports. Schuitemaker forage wagons, silage wagons, and feed wagons have been delivered, as well as Veenhuis tanks and various injectors. The trailer stands out with its SL2 independent wheel suspension system, flat floor with outer extension and a total bed length of 12,270 mm. “With the flat floor and extendable bed, we can work more efficiently than before. We no longer need to place extra bridges in the bed to create a flat surface, which keeps the overall height lower and the load more stable.”
Efficient and safe transport with the SL2 low loader
The 2-axle Broshuis SL2 low loader also offers great ease of use. “The remote control functions for the hydraulic neck and the 2-axle suspension are ideal,” says Dennis. “In addition, the stable road handling, large steering angle, ground clearance, and low loading height make it very pleasant to work with. On top of that, when transporting multiple machines, the rear can often extend over the low axle assembly, meaning the bed hardly needs to be extended, or even not at all.”
