Welder
A trailer three metres wide or a chassis measuring dozens of metres in length is not something you see every day. As a MIG/MAG Welder at Broshuis, you will work on specialised transport equipment used all over the world. You will weld components in a welding booth or work on complete chassis, seeing the product take shape as it moves through the production process.
Depending on your preference, you can work in a welding booth or on complete chassis. In the welding booth, you will weld components that are later assembled into our trailers. Prefer working on larger structures? Then you can work on complete chassis. You will use jigs, fixtures and other tools that help ensure the work is carried out accurately and efficiently.
The trailers we build vary in size and configuration, so you will work on a wide range of constructions and welding tasks. You will work from technical drawings, using modern welding equipment alongside colleagues who know what it takes to build a quality product.
Together, you will ensure that components and/or chassis are ready for the next stage in the trailer assembly process.
Your responsibilities:
- MIG/MAG welding of components or chassis
- Working from technical drawings
- Using jigs, fixtures and other tools
- Finishing welds where required
- Checking dimensions and quality
