Broshuis raises € 100,000 for the LINDA.foundation
In 2025, we celebrated our 140th anniversary. A milestone we deliberately used to extend our impact beyond Broshuis itself. With one clear goal in mind: raising € 100,000 for financially vulnerable families through the LINDA.foundation. We are proud to share that this goal has been achieved. And more than that: it became a movement that connected our entire network.
THE POWER OF WORKING TOGETHER
Throughout the year, colleagues from all parts of Broshuis launched initiatives of their own. From sporting challenges to creative fundraising activities, every contribution – large or small – made a real difference. It showed what we can accomplish when we come together as an organization around a shared purpose.
We also received invaluable support this year from Moods & Roots. During the Broshuis Event, they made an impressive donation, and later in November we joined forces once again. During the lunch breaks in November where colleagues could buy warm snacks during their breaks in support of the LINDA.foundation, Moods & Roots actively contributed by offering ideas, providing their kitchen equipment free of charge, and donating all the food that was sold. Their commitment played a major role in achieving the final result.
In addition, we are incredibly grateful for the many donations from our customers, suppliers, and other partners. Their generosity was instrumental in reaching this milestone. Thanks to Pieter-Bas Broshuis doubling all customer donations, their contributions had an even greater impact.
WHY THE LINDA.foundation?
An important reason for us to support this foundation is that 100% of all donations go directly to families in need, as Linda de Mol personally covers all operational costs. This matters, because in the Netherlands, one in nine children grows up in poverty. For these families, participating in everyday life is not a given. Things many children take for granted like a proper winter coat, bringing treats for a birthday, or going to McDonald’s with friends, are often out of reach. Missing out on these moments can make children feel different or prevent them from growing up carefree.
The LINDA.foundation offers these families moments of hope. Through carefully composed support packages with gift cards that can be used in supermarkets, clothing shops, toy stores, and even places for a family meal or cinema visit, children are given the chance to participate again. Wearing a coat that fits in with the rest of the class, being able to join a birthday party, or proudly treating classmates may seem like small things, but they help children feel included once more. And that is what truly makes a world of difference.
A SPECIAL MOMENT
During our Christmas market for employees on December 19, the total amount raised was officially presented to Linda de Mol on behalf of all colleagues, customers, suppliers, and partners of Broshuis. A special moment that once again highlighted the impact we can create together, something Linda herself strongly emphasized: “The gratitude and relief of the families who have received a package are deeply moving. Besides the fact that they are temporarily free from financial worries, the packages also offer comfort and give hope, and that in itself is priceless. We firmly believe that kind-hearted people are in the majority. Broshuis, together with all its partners and employees, proves this 100,000 times today.”
A MOVEMENT THAT CONTINUES
Although our anniversary year has come to an end, our commitment to the LINDA.foundation does not stop here. In 2026, we will continue to actively support the foundation: “As a company, we carry a responsibility within our community. This year has shown just how powerful our collective impact can be. That is why we will continue to support the LINDA.foundation in 2026, with the same conviction and energy.”
The first initiatives from our colleagues for the new year are already being planned. Customers and suppliers who wish to contribute can, of course, continue to do so via the donation button. Together, we will keep making a difference for families who truly need it.
