new challenge
Since 2010, Timo Mücke has specialised in transporting agricultural machinery. Operating from Saxony, his company has grown into a versatile business with a modern vehicle fleet. The recent rise in demand for yacht transport presented a new challenge. His agri low loader was no longer sufficient, which led him to choose a new Broshuis low loader with independent wheel suspension (SL2).
Special agri low loader
As demand for transporting large agricultural machines increased, Timo Mücke decided in 2020 to invest in a dedicated agri low loader. “The demand for combine harvesters and other machines was growing rapidly, so we opted for a trailer specifically for that purpose,” he says. After discussions with several manufacturers, he ultimately chose Broshuis. “What made the difference for me was the expert advice from Matthias Schmerer and the flexibility of the trailer, particularly the reversible outriggers and mattrasses.”
New challenge, new low loader
Although agricultural transport was once the main focus, Timo Mücke’s range of services has expanded. “In recent years, thanks to a long-standing business partner, the transport of motor- and sailing yachts has become a bigger part of our work.” With yacht transport becoming part of his services, his agri low loader could no longer meet the demands. “We encountered height limitations with our agri trailer due to the central spine,” Timo explains.
That prompted the next step: a new Broshuis low loader. “To be able to transport larger boats in the future, we decided to invest in a trailer with outer beams, allowing for lower loading height. We also opted for independent wheel suspension (SL2) and additional features like screw anchor points,” Timo says. By working together on the implementation of screw anchor points, Timo Mücke was able to easily apply his own self-developed supports for yacht transport. This clearly demonstrates what we at Broshuis stand for: thinking along with the customer, delivering custom solutions, and designed with everyday work in mind.
How it’s made
We are proud to have once again supported Timo Mücke in taking this next step. With this new trailer, he continues to expand his transport capabilities. The entire production process was captured in an episode of How it’s Made. This trailer was built the way we do things: entirely in-house, with the end user in mind. We wish Timo Mücke many safe kilometres with his new SL2 low loader.
