All-round Maintenance Technician
The Technical Service can be found throughout our site and contributes to Broshuis by repairing faulty machines and installations, and by being responsible for the preventive maintenance of our equipment.
You start the day with coffee and a team briefing, where any special notes or tasks are discussed. Colleagues who were on call the previous shift share any relevant incidents with the team. After that, you check your tasks for the day in Ultimo. You determine which tasks have the highest priority and, in consultation with the planner/coordinator (Leon Hermeler), you place those at the top of your list. After completing these, you organize the remaining tasks for yourself based on what makes the most sense and get to work. About 80% of the tasks at Broshuis are performed in-house, making each day different.
Your tasks may include:
-
Troubleshooting and repairing faults, for example on an overhead crane
-
Carrying out various projects, such as building a test cabinet for testing trailers with PLC control
-
Repairing or replacing parts, like the drive system of the platform lift in the paint booths
-
Installing electrical distribution cabinets and connecting them; after completion, you update the drawings and circuit documentation
-
Assisting and guiding external technicians, which is also a great learning opportunity!
Besides handling faults and projects, you will perform weekly or monthly preventive maintenance on various machines and installations. You register your work in Ultimo, where you document what you did, provide improvement suggestions, and then close your tasks. We share our knowledge with each other.
