At Broshuis, quality is not a final destination but a continuous process. Since May 2025, the Quality and HSE, Health, Safety and Environment, department has been led by Quality Manager Marc Floris. His arrival brought one clear ambition, to structurally elevate quality and safety to a higher level, together with the organization.
Quality in everything
“Quality is in everything we do,” says Marc. Not only in the end product but also in the way we work, collaborate, and improve. This philosophy forms the foundation of the department, which is involved daily in the entire production process. From the rough build and preservation to final assembly and functional end inspections, the quality team is present wherever quality matters.
During these inspections, deviations are recorded and reported back to production, not as an endpoint but as a starting point for improvement. “The goal isn’t to check for the sake of checking,” Marc explains, “but to ensure we all create a product we can be proud of.”
The role of quality is increasingly shifting from traditional inspection to support and assurance. “We want to explore how we can further strengthen the quality department,” says Marc. By designing processes and systems smartly, we make work easier, faster, and most importantly, more consistent. This makes quality less dependent on individuals and better safeguarded for the future.
Collaboration plays a major role in this. Other departments are being increasingly involved in quality matters. By sharing knowledge and actively connecting with each other, quality becomes something that belongs to the entire organization. This results in better outcomes for everyone.
Working safely every day
Health, Safety, and Environment, HSE, are inseparably linked to quality. This department works to create a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment. “Working safely is not a separate task,” Marc emphasizes. “It’s something you do together every day on the shop floor.”
With clear processes, audits, and practical measures, safety is made visible and actionable. This ensures Broshuis continues to meet important standards and certifications, while keeping the focus on what truly matters, safe colleagues and reliable products.
What makes working in Quality and HSE attractive is the dynamic environment. The department is evolving continuously and touches nearly every part of the company. “You have extensive contact with colleagues across the organization and can immediately see the impact of your work,” Marc explains. This makes the work varied, substantive, and very tangible.
The ambitions are clear, but Marc emphasizes that change takes time. We take it step by step, with attention, involvement, and collaboration. Quality and safety are not created alone, they are built together!
