At Timmersmans Infra in Nuland, everything revolves around staying in control of the job and having complete confidence in the equipment. The company specializes in cable and pipeline installation and horizontal directional drilling, with all transport managed in-house. “We handle all our transport ourselves,” says Jan Timmermans (driver and second generation). “That way we always know where we stand and never face any surprises.” To make their operations even more efficient, the company recently invested in a new Scania truck and two new Broshuis trailers, fully tailored to their daily work and heavy-duty applications.
Flat trailer with fully electric crane
One of the new trailers is a three-axle flat trailer, equipped with a fully electric Palfinger PK 370 TEC D roller crane (37 Tm). This powerful crane combines precision with quiet and efficient operation, making it ideal for handling shipping containers, heavy cable reels, and other materials on and around the construction site. The electric drive supports controlled working conditions, especially in environments where noise and emissions are a consideration.
4-axle hydraulically steered semi low loader with loading ramps
In addition, Timmermans Infra added a 4-axle semi low loader with wheel wells and loading ramps to their fleet. This single-extendable trailer features hydraulically steered axles, just like the flat crane trailer. Despite the length and width of both trailers, excellent manoeuvrability is assured. The semi low loader is used for transporting mobile cranes, drilling equipment, and big bags of bentonite, an essential material in horizontal directional drilling.
Built for practical use
“The cooperation and advice during the purchasing process were excellent,” Jan explains. “They really took the time to understand what we need in practice, which gives us a lot of confidence.” Both trailers are extendable and fitted with practical features such as additional lashing points, an anti-slip floor, wheel wells, and a crane arm recess. “They are truly built for our work,” Jan adds. “Robust, well thought out, and ready for heavy-duty use.” After several weeks in operation, the verdict is clear: “Nothing is too much for these trailers. I’m extremely satisfied, but I never had any doubts to begin with.”
We would like to thank Timmermans Infra for their trust and wish them many safe and enjoyable kilometers with their new Broshuis trailers.
