Lima Yachting specializes in the purchase and sale of boats and also provides transport services for both its own boats and those of third parties. Co de Boet, owner of Lima Yachting, personally handles these transports. The company mainly focuses on motorboats and sailing yachts, where transport height is often the biggest challenge in practice. “Many transports are close to five metres in height. That means you really have to think carefully about the route.” To carry out these transports efficiently and safely, Lima Yachting commissioned a new Broshuis trailer in 2025.
Co de Boet deliberately chose Broshuis again. Service was the deciding factor. “I might have been able to buy a cheaper trailer elsewhere, but I truly chose the service and quality,” he explains. Personal contact is especially important to him. “Broshuis simply offers the best service. Even as a smaller entrepreneur, you are helped properly. They are always there for you, and I can always rely on direct support for service and maintenance.” That trust was the main reason for choosing Broshuis once again.
Tailored to daily practice
The trailer is fully adapted to boat transport operations. Lima Yachting selected a wide bed version with a width of 2.75 metres, allowing boats to be positioned deeper within the bed and helping to limit the overall transport height. The SL axles provide additional flexibility, offering a large steering angle and extra ground clearance whenever required, for example when crossing railway tracks.
In addition, Lima Yachting developed its own boat supports. In cooperation with Broshuis, the trailer was modified so these supports can be mounted easily and efficiently.
User-friendly in daily transport
In daily operations, the trailer fully meets expectations. “It is very user-friendly. Everything works clearly and practically.” Co de Boet is also very positive about the delivery process in Kampen. The explanation and handover were clear and complete, allowing him to start working with the trailer immediately.
A good example is a recent transport from Denmark to the Netherlands involving a vessel approximately 14 metres long and 4 metres wide, purchased privately in Denmark. Lima Yachting handled the transport to the Netherlands, where the vessel is currently undergoing a complete refit. Afterwards, it will continue on to Southern France. “Everything went according to plan.”
We wish Co many more safe and enjoyable kilometres with his combination!
