What are you transporting?
To transport the various construction machines, we have various transport solutions in our product range. We have divided our transport solutions into qualifications that construction machine manufacturers also use, namely:
Based on the qualifications above, you can easily see which trailer you can use to transport the machines in this category.
In the compact class, the weight of the machine to be transported is generally not more than 5 tons. The total transport height of the machine usually remains below 2,500 mm. The compact class can be transported on any semi low loader. Multiple machines can even be transported on one semi low loader. Due to the size of this machine class, it is not necessary to use wheel recesses or a crane arm recess.
In the compact class, the machines are sometimes driven on and off the trailer several times in a day. In that case, it is recommended to choose a trailer with hydraulic ramps to make it easier for the driver to load and unload the machines.
A selection from our product range that is suitable for transporting construction machines from the Compact class is given below:
In the medium class, the weight of the machine to be transported is generally between 6 and 30 tons. The total transport height of the machine usually remains below 3,250 mm.
This means that this class can still be transported on a semi low loader. If the transport height of the machine is over three metres, this means that it can only still be transported on a low semi low loader. Consider a semi low loader on 205 tyres (lower axle load) or on SL-axles or a semi with wheel wells.
As the name suggests, the heavy class involves machines that are over 30 tons, and for which the transport height also makes it necessary to use a low loader. This heavy class does run up to very large machines weighing as much as 80 tons. In this category, the weight and the height ultimately determine the transport solution.
